None. Cross Grain collects no personal data and no sensitive user data. There is no account, no sign-up, no profile, no advertising identifier and no analytics of any kind.
Everything you enter into the app — every record, setting, note and figure — is written to storage on your own device and stays there. We never receive it and have no technical means of reading it.
Entirely on your device. The app reads your records to display them, to compute the figures it shows you, and to build the exports and backups you ask for. No processing happens anywhere else, because there is no server component to this app.
We share nothing, because we hold nothing. Your data is not sold, rented, transferred or disclosed to any third party, advertiser, analytics provider, data broker or affiliate. There are no third parties with access to it.
The one exception is entirely under your control: when you use the app's export, backup or share function, the file goes wherever you send it.
Records are stored in a local on-device database. Settings, preferences and any encryption key are held in the Android platform's encrypted secure storage, which is protected by your device lock. Sensitive stores are additionally encrypted at rest with AES.
Because nothing is transmitted, there is no data in transit to intercept. The security of the data therefore rests on the security of your device: keep a screen lock enabled and keep Android up to date.
Your data is retained on your device for exactly as long as you keep it. You can delete it at any time:
We hold no copy, so there is nothing for you to request the deletion of from us, and nothing for us to retain after you remove it.
There are none. Cross Grain has no login, no registration and no cloud sync, and it cannot be used to identify you.
Cross Grain is a general-audience business tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children — and in fact collect no data from anyone. The app is not enrolled in the Google Play Designed for Families programme.
Rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability all apply to data a controller holds about you. Since we hold none, these rights are satisfied directly and immediately on your own device: you can read, correct, delete and export everything at any time, without asking us and without waiting.
Cross Grain contains no third-party SDK, no advertising network, no crash-reporting service, no analytics library and no social login. Distribution happens through Google Play, which operates under its own privacy policy for the download itself; that is between you and Google, and it is outside the app.
Cross Grain declares exactly one Android permission:
The app requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, phone, SMS, media or notification permission.
Our Data safety declaration for Cross Grain states: no data collected, no data shared. Data is not encrypted in transit for the simple reason that no data is ever transmitted. Users can delete all data in-app via Settings → Clear all data.
If this policy changes, the revised version is published at this same address and the “last updated” date above is changed. The app loads this page live, so it always shows the current version.
